The Ultimate Keepers Strength & Conditioning Programme

Programme duration: 6 weeks

With the goalkeeper position constantly evolving, the importance of strength and conditioning has become vital. Goalkeepers are expected to be able to perform quick, explosive movements at numerous stages of the game to either make important saves or prevent goal scoring opportunities. Alongside this, maximum strength and power is also required to assist with other key scenarios such as dealing with crosses and various types of distribution.

This 6 week programme has been designed to complement a goalkeeper’s current training regime with their club. It works hand in hand with their regular training and has been created specifically to develop the physical attributes required for a goalkeeper to excel in all aspects of their game.

Appropriate use of this training programme, accompanied by correct nutritional advice, will significantly improve the overall performance of any goalkeeper.
